Senior Business Analyst - Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST)
Working with CST Design Teams, upstream/downstream vendors, and healthcare professionals to ensure requirements are gathered and documented. These are then established as common clinical and process standards, and implemented as a common clinical information system (called CST Cerner) that will replace multiple aging existing systems across PHSA, VCH, and PHC.

Project Manager - Meditech Update Project: Meditech 5.65 Upgrade Timeline: 8 months Budget: $1.3M Technologies: Meditech Client Server, MS SQL Server 2000, HL7 Messaging Standards, MS Project, MS SharePoint Results: Upgraded Fraser Health electronic health records (for 13 hospitals) to Meditech 5.65 for Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, EEG, and Cardiology. The process involved customizations of Meditech to meet business requirements, data conversion, and training of clinicians on the new user interface. Training sessions were conducted using Adobe Captivate (eLearning) and classrooms. Over 1200 staff (88%) were trained prior to implementation. |

Senior Business Case Analyst Project: Records and Information Management System Timeline: 2 months Technologies: MS Office, MS Visio Results: Completed and presented the business case for Records and Information Management System for an enterprise-wide rollout to all business units across the organization. It was approved and subsequently implemented. |
Vancouver Coastal Health
Project Manager Project: Community Health Records Timeline: 4 years Budget: $2M Technologies: Primary Access Regional Information System (PARIS), MS Project, MS SharePoint Results: Prepared a business case for an integrated record management system for community health centres, providing financial justification and a roadmap for its implementation. The business case was approved and a project implementation team was formed. The implementation provided leadership and expertise for records management and release of information (based on best practices and alignment with PARIS electronic health records). Overall, the community health records project was widely viewed as being successful. VCHA now has a structured record management system and a dedicated support team for community sites. Throughout this change management project, a comprehensive training plan and communication was created for more than 200 community service areas (sites/programs). 50,000 client charts were converted, over 60 training sessions were conducted which were attended by more than 1100 staff members. Community sites staff and management were oriented to the new best practices for records management, release of information, FIPPA compliance, laptop security, and data encryption. |
